Sindhu won Bronze: First Indian Woman to Win two Olympics Medal

PV Sindhu became the first indian woman to win two individual Olympics medals. She defeated China’s Bing Jiao in straight to 21-13, 21-15 to seal the bronze medal for this time. She had lost the final of the women’s singles event at the 2016 Rio Olympics to settle for a silver medal..PV Sindhu who had been in a good form all throughout her Tokyo Olympics so far,lost to Tai Tzu-Ying the semi-finals on saturday 31 july.However her bronze medal win means That India won its second medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 after Mirarbai Chanu’s silver in weightlifting.

After Sindhu’s win President Of India Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished her success. Prime Minister Modi talked with her over phone . After this historic win Sindhu said though the match was a one side win but it was not so easy for her.
